50 Years of Rudolph Creating a Lifetime of Memories #Rudolph50

Did you know this year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1st broadcast of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” the longest running and highest rated holiday TV special of all time?? How many memories do you have of yourself as a kid watching Rudolph on TV? Long before the era of DVD’s, VCR’s and certainly DVRing TV shows, I can remember my Mom and Dad letting me stay up late every year on the evening Rudolph would air on TV. Oh how I loved it!

We’re celebrating with a fabulous Rudolph giveaway on Classy Mommy – all the entry details are below.

Today, all these years later, I love watching Rudolph with my own children. Over the past 9 Christmas seasons, our family has developed our own holiday traditions and many of those of course involved our favorite red nosed reindeer – Rudolph. Kenzie has a variety of sweet holiday dresses over the years embellished with none other than Rudolph too.

The Kids Singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer over the Years at Christmas

Some of my all time favorite memories are of the kids singing holiday tunes on Christmas with each other and every year performing a holiday show with their cousins. Rudolph has been a classic since the kids were tiny!

  1. 2. Daily Comment on 11-20-14. I like the part in the story and song that goes, “but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?” Of course everyone knows it’s Rudolph.

  2. 2. One of the daily comments, nice to see kids sitting on Santa’s laps with smiles. So many little ones seem to cry. Your kids look very happy.
