A new way to clean your carpets. Instead of calling in a carpet cleaning service, Bissell has introduced a new line of deep cleaning vacuums that essentially steam clean your carpets. We were sent one to review and here’s the scoop on how it works. The kids were fascinated by the concept and process of us “cleaning” our own carpets as in the past we’ve always hired a service.
Here’s a video demonstration of the Bissell Deep Clean Premier Vacuum and below I have photos to show some of the set up steps.
The DeepClean Premier is a whole-room deep cleaner designed to tackle carpets and get the dirt your traditional vacuum won’t be sucking up on a regular basis. Priced at $188.92 and available at Walmart.
Everyone wanted to participate and here’s Kyle pushing the Deep Clean Premier – it is heavy at about 25 lbs compared to my lightweight vacuum, but even my 5 year old was able to give it a few pushes!
This is the Bissell cleaning solution you mix with water and put into the vacuum.
Here we are filling up the vacuum with water as prep to steam clean. We used almost 3 pitchers to fill it up!

I honestly couldn’t tell a huge difference in how clean my carpet looked given that it is 17 years old and literally BEYOND ready to be replaced. I profess I also have not been religious about getting our carpets cleaned. I think since I knew they were so old, that in the last 3 years once my kids stopped crawling I have not had our carpets cleaned 1 time. YIKES!
We’ve actually been shopping carpets and hardwood this past month and are looking to install in the coming weeks. Going forward, I will seriously remember I need to clean these carpets a minimum of 2 x per year. And owning my own system will make this a lot easier than scheduling an appointment and paying a few hundred bucks each time.
What we did love was how FRESH the carpet and family spelled post cleaning. Not to mention, mentally, after seeing all that DIRT removed from my carpet I knew it was cleaner which is definitely something I want for my own home – where my kids are constantly playing on the floor. At least now we know the carpet is CLEAN.
My family room still looks good and even if there are stains in the carpet that I’m aware of, I know it smells great and is clean!
