Chesapeake Ribbons Cyber Baby Shower Games

Congrats to Margie on her future arrival! Thanks to Pamela, my good friend and the inspired Mommy entrepreneur who owns Happy Panda, for throwing this fabulous party. If you haven’t bought any panda wear from her – trust me your kids will adore it!
Margie, founder of Chesapeake Ribbons and the new blog Gunning It, is a great friend of mine. She was one of my very first “Mommy Friends”. We met in a Kindermusik class when my Mackenzie was about 12 weeks old and her little boy, Nicholas, was about 7 months old. We hit it off right away as stay at home Moms who were looking for creative outlets. So we were able to bounce lots of ideas off each other as she was launching her adorable line of hair bows (and now belts, key fobs and more! ) at Chesapeake Ribbons and I was preparing to launch Classy Mommy.

I’ll play a few games for fun. (No need to enter me for a prize ladies!)

1. Jelly Beans – 97

2. Oh Wow. A bump shot. Here it goes!Tried not to take too many of these….

3. Diaper cake -64

4. Birth story……

Natural Childbirth. Most recently with Kyle. Quick story here… Kyle was quick and easy but for the shoulder dystocia at the end and the preclampsia that hit full throttle in the hours before I went into labor (Blood pressure of 200/100 at my weekly appointment!) They were prepared to induce me, but sure enough, after being monitored for a few hours, I went into labor on my own before they started the induction. When they brought me back to prep an induction, I told them I thought I didn’t feel good and might just be in labor. Sure enough I was 5 cm! Had the baby about 70 mins later! Uggh. I try not to remember the terrible feelings of insane pressure. Natural childbirth – I wanted it that way – as it is so fast and furious it is over quick. And the last thing I want when it actually gets bad is to settle down and stay still for the epidural. The idea of an epidural terrifies me more than the pain of labor. I am one of those people who really likes to FEEL every SENSATION and I hated the thought of missing the feelings of any aspect of the childbirth for both my kids. My labor was marvelous but the “delivery” was dramatic with the dystocia. Poor kid came out not breathing or crying. Same thing happened with my daughter too! They did revive him within a few quick minutes and said he would be fine. Poor Kyle did break his shoulder during childbirth due to the drama – but we didn’t even realize it until he was 6 weeks old and in the ER for RSV and it showed up on the X-Ray. You can read more details in my original labor story post here! Photos too!

As for shower prizes…. You don’t need to enter me since I had my own cyberhower thanks to Pamela in November of 2007.
