Chester County Moms Toys for Tots Drive

Thanks to my fabulous friends Sarah and Shannon from Chester County Moms for organizing our very own “Holiday Extravaganza” to benefit our local area Toys for Tots drive. What a night! Beautiful room, festive atmosphere, tons of cool products on display, and delicious food from Rino’s, one of my fave local Italian restaurants for the past 20+ years!

Loved connecting with new and old friends (like folks I haven’t seen since High School!) and next year I hope to meet even more of my Twitter & Facebook buddies in real life!

Our local community of Moms donated over 500 toys and we had over 70 prizes raffled off thanks to the generosity of many corporations and the help of The Toy Guy who came to showcase off his 13 of his top holiday toy picks for 2009. Having the Toy Guy attend was a quite an honor as he has been on Oprah and is a regular expert on Regis & Kelly!
Seriously, I think next year we’ll raise quadruple the amount and be donating 2000+ toys.

It’s wonderful when the idea of a few Moms can inspire an entire community to give back. This was a great chance for us bloggers to spread the wealth of our product samples to benefit others. (Thanks to ClassyMommy.com I was able to contribute some really fun items to Toys for Tots along with prizes to raffle off for our guests too )
Sarah thought it would be cool for the Marines to walk the runway fashion show style with the The Toy Guy’s top picks. Very cool.

I sincerely appreciate the willingness of major brands to work with ClassyMommy and the Chester County Moms to make this event a reality. Thanks to my contacts at Hershey, Clorox, Mattel Games, and Keurig for coming up with classy prize packs in the final days leading up to our event.
Can’t wait to see what our local group of blogger’s comes up with next! Together, we really can make a difference. I’m so thankful for this community of mommy friends. Happy to be living in Chester County too 🙂
