I love the natural colors of the necklace…it’s very pretty!
When did I first fall in love with fashion? I think it was even before I was aware that I was in love with it! My mother tells me that when I was about three years old I’d put on my white gloves, when we went out, and keep them very clean and even refuse to play with other children because of the gloves! I remember one winter my mother giving me a handwarmer that was in the shape of a doll wearing a blue coat (with the place that you put in your hands being the skirt of the coat) and I just loved it and took very good care of it! In high school I created a Mondrian-like embroidery design (based loosely on the colors in Ukrainian designs, since my family was Ukrainian) that I embroidered on a sleeveless white wool close-fitting dress that my mother made me. And I’ve ALWAYS loved hats and jewelry and scarves as accessories!
I modeled myself after my mother, who sewed beautiful dresses in order to save money, although I had my own eclectic tastes. I’ve never NOT been in love with fashion, wearing carpetbagger boots and adorning my hats with sunflowers and standing out in my favorite color, which is red!
