It’s summer and we love making – and consuming smoothies. But when you are in a rush, a ready made smoothie is a great option for busy families on the go. Enter Darifair Farms Smoothies and Frappes.
We recently sampled a new line of Single Serve Frozen Darifair Smooties and Frappes that are sold exclusively at Walmart for $1.78 each.
These are loaded with real fruit and each one has 9 grams of protein so ideally you can even make one of these smoothies a meal for Mom or a health nutrient rich snack for the kids. Each smoothie and frappe, comes frozen so you can grab it on your way out the door and let it thaw on the go, or pop it in the fridge the night before you want to drink one, so it will be thawed out for you the next day.
The smoothies are available in three flavors: Pineapple Mango, Strawberry Banana and Strawberry. Our favorite was Strawberry Banana and strawberry – we found the Pineapple Mango to be too sweet and unusual for the kids – or my own tastes.
The Frappes are available in three flavors too – Chocolate Raspberry, Mocha and Caramel. My favorite was Mocha, but I’d rather keep the kids drinking the fruity tastes since they are so young and I try to only leave our chocolate for a treat! From a calorie perspective – both the Frappes and the Smoothies had only 190-210 calories which is not bad as long as your using this as a hefty snack or meal on the run —- which in my chaotic life is generally how I am eating!
