Homemade cards are the best and here’s nothing better than a homemade Valentine. We heart making Love Bugs as they are simple and adorable. Love was in the air at our house as the kids used their creativity to make all kinds of Valentine’s.
Here are some ideas to inspire you to have fun with your kids making homemade cards.
We used glitter, doilies, google eyes, glue, and construction paper that we picked up at Walmart. But you can certainly use pipe cleaners, paint and any other fun craft items your kids enjoy to make homemade Valentine’s Day cards.
Our best buy and the essential ingredient I recommend you add to your Valentine’s Day craft arsenal is this package of 40 Doilies from Walmart for only $1.88. My kids are very impressed by a good doilie and without much additional hard work or skill, these doilies essentially make a valentine. And there is 40 of them which leaves rooms for lots of creativity, mistakes, and valentines!
Step 1: Decorate your Doilie with wiggly eyes, glue, and then sprinkle with glitter.
Step 2: Make your love bug a bit whimsical with crinkled construction paper limbs.
Here are a few of the kids other creations – I loved Kenzie’s “Lets’ Stick Together” Valentine for her girlfriend Kylie.
As a participant in the Walmart Moms Program, I’ve received product samples and compensation for my time and efforts in creating this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Really cute, Colleen! Looks like the kids had a blast!

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But think about
if you added some great images or videos to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this
site could definitely be one of the very best in its niche.
Good blog!
