This headline sure grabbed my attention. Anything Vaccine or H1N1 is sure to get a good read by any Mom this season. According to MSNBC, 800,000 doses of kids’ H1N1 vaccine have been recalled as tests show the shots lost potency over time and may not be strong enough to protect against the virus. Here is a video on the recall with Dr. Nancy Snyderman.

Luckily, there is nothing dangerous in the shot and the concern is about the efficacy and potency.
The 800,000 recalled shots were pre-filled syringes used for children aged 6 months to nearly 3 years manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur. Testing last week of these vaccines that were shipped in the early fall showed a drop in potency by 12%. You can read more on the H1N1 vaccine recall from MSNBC here.
