Kenzie and I had the chance to check out 4 new products from Hawaiian Tropic that are now available at Walmart.
My favorite was the Aloha Kiss Moisturizing Lip gloss that has an SPF 20 rating and provides some really natural light lip color. We also tested out the Shimmer Effect line below – a sunscreen with SPF 8 and an after sun lotion mositurizer. These smell great with the classic yummy beach-like coconut smell you expect from Hawaiian Tropic but also include some shimmering effects that naturally highlight your skin tone too.

I loved the products and the feel of them, however, when it comes to sunscreen, I typically use SPF 30 products on myself and the kids as I’m super fair and we have a history of skin cancer in the family. But if you tan easily or on a day when the sun is not so bright, the Hawaiian Tropic products are a great option. And as for “after sun” the moisturizer will be perfect for any skin tone and type since SPF doesn’t come into play and the lotion really naturally highlights your skin without looking artificial.

Hopefully you’ll be able to see the “shimmer effect” on our skin. Kenzie and I definitely noticed that we looked sparkling and had a super light glitter to our skin. And when we walked out into the sun, it was especially noticeable. This is tough to capture on camera but if you like a “sparkle” and highlighted skin tone look, these lotions did the job and looked VERY natural at the same time too.
