Be sure to note her PINK tipped highlights. These are removable hair extensions. Love it!
American Girl will also be creating a movie to premiere on DVD in summer 2014. Isabelle, an inspiring dancer with a knack for design, also has 3 books dedicated to her story. Fun! My 8 year old daughter and I are most excited about her pink tipped highlights! Very cool.

Isabelle’s accessories include all kinds of dance accessories – from outfits to dance bags to an actual ballet barre. Isabelle’s Dance Barre is priced at $65. Snatch this one up early as I’m sure next Christmas it will be sold out since the price is affordable as far as cool American Girl accessories go so I suspect this Ballet Barre is going to be VERY VERY popular!

American Girl of the Year 2014 Isabelle Palmer Books
I love that this year there will be 3 books about the American Girl doll of the year. We always love the modern stories – and challenges that face each American Girl doll of the year so I’m happy to see American Girl is dedicating 3 books to Isabelle. Here’s the official synopsis about her story below:
Written by award-winning author Laurence Yep, the 2014 Girl of the Year® books―Isabelle, Designs by Isabelle, and To the Stars, Isabelle―introduce readers to Isabelle Palmer, a talented ten-year-old girl who loves to dance and to design ballet costumes. When she starts attending the Anna Hart School of the Arts, Isabelle has a hard time getting her proper footing—both in her transition to a new school and in the dance studio. To complicate the situation, her older sister, Jade, is the star ballerina at the school, and a rival classmate tries to make Isabelle feel as if she doesn’t belong there. Isabelle struggles with self-doubt, but when she stops comparing herself to others and learns to focus on her own unique talents, she finds a special way to stand out and to use her passions to help others, too.
