Jackson Hole – First Impressions

Day 1 of our Adventures by Disney “Quest for the West” trip…..here’s some quick impressions of our visit so far.

The Grand Tetons are simply majestic. There’s no other way to describe this gorgeous jagged mountain range that we saw spike up into view as our plane landed at Jackson Hole airport in Wyoming today.

The airport is literally in Grand Teton National Park so you step off the plane onto the tarmac with this view.

Incredible and beyond breathtaking!

We explored the town today and it is the quintessential West. I love it and the kids lofe it too. Friendly & casual with lots of great food.

And the town square has these cool arches of elk antlers on all four corners.

We poked around in lots of shops and were wildly impressed by all the antlers and stuffed wildlife galore. And the grizzly bear below could be yours for the price of $28,000! Talk about a conversation starter.

For dinner we met up with our Adventures by Disney guides & group to kick off our trip. And in true Disney style everything was delicious and super fun for the kids with a cowboy playing live music – and he also included the kids in a song.

Kenzie & Kyle LOVE participating in stuff like this so it was great for them – plus it helped them earn a special unique Adventures by Disney pin…. They can earn them all week long and each pin is 100% unique to this Disney Adventure Quest for the West. Every Disney Adventure has their own unique special collection of pins so people don’t really trade these like at the Parks- instead they try to earn them on the trip.

Kenzie & Kyle find this stuff so thrilling!

We can’t wait for tomorrow’s fun – white water rafting & a cowboy musical at lunch.
