Ever since Jake and the Neverland Pirates first aired just over a year ago my kids have been in LOVE with the show. It’s one of their favorite treats to watch Jake on TV and we DVR all the episodes so they’ll be able to watch it at their leisure when we have “TV” time since day to day we are super busy and fitting in shows is tough.
And then this year, Peter Pan finally joined the gang in an extra special episode – which now is available on DVD as of April 3rd. Titled, “Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Peter Pan Returns” this DVD has over 2 hours of content too!
This made the perfect Easter weekend surprise for my kiddo’s – compete with a visit from a stuffed Cubby & Captain Hook. Egg dying and watching a favorite episode of Jake with Peter Pan on DVD made for a wonderful Easter treat.
Here’s the “official synopsis” of the flick if you haven’t seen it yet with the kids. I highly recommend this one – and Jake & the Neverland Pirates in general if you’ve never seen it.
Peter Pan is back––but his shadow is missing! When Peter loses his shadow while playing a game of Catch-Me-If-You-Can, he returns to Never Land to seek help from his kid pirate friend Jake. Embarking on one of his most daring and exciting adventures ever, Jake and his kid pirate pals, Izzy and Cubby, along with lookout parrot Skully, must use teamwork to find Peter’s shadow and return it to its rightful owner. However, their mission is nearly thwarted by the fiendish Captain Hook, and his bumbling first mate Mr. Smee. But bravery and justice win the day and Jake and his Never Land pirate crew once again reveal what it takes to become heroes, in Disney’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns.
