Swiffer Steam Boost Mop Review

Check out Swiffer Steam Boost Mop Review. Swiffer and Bissell have teamed up to make a super convenient steam mop that is so easy to use. I love the idea of these 2 trusted cleaning brands teaming up on a product and was very happy with how it worked.  The idea behind the joint venture with Bissell and Swiffer is that the new Swiffer Steam Boost will give a deeper “steam” cleaning compared to the traditional Swiffer Wet Jet.

The Swiffer Steam Boost will be sold exclusively at Walmart during the month of June if you are anxious to try it out. After June it will be sold nationwide at other retailers as well.

I can attest that this contraption seriously cleaned my wood floors deeper and better than a traditional mop as I had literally JUST had my kitchen floor mopped clean with a mop & bucket full of soap & water a few hours earlier. I decided test the new Swiffer Steam Boost out on my wood floors that are stained heavily with dirt in the crevices and cracks to put the product to the test and see how it worked and if I might turn up additional dirt on my already supposedly “clean” floor.

When comparing the Swiffer Wet Jet to the new Steam Boost, both products are similar in size and you also use refill pads for the base of your Swiffer Steam Boost Mop just as you would for your a traditional Swiffer WetJet mop. I really enjoy both the Swiffer Wet Jet and the new Swiffer Steam Boost in that I don’t need to use a “mop & bucket” combo with these products.  You will need to buy replacement pads which is a hassle but the convenience of not using a bucket is huge so it’s also a giant plus depending on what product attributes appeal to you.

These are my replacement pads. 2 pads came with my the starter kit and Steam Boost mop.

Here’s a photo of the mop. You fill the tank with water, easily attach your steamboost pad to the base of the mop, plug in your mop and let it warm for 30 seconds, and then get ready to rock and roll on your floors. You click a button on the mop ot release the steam while you are mopping. It was seriously beyond easy to set this up and use. I also love how lightweight it is.

I was shocked at how much dirt I was able to remove from my floor. My house is 17 years old though, so these floors have some serious stains and dirt in them that are unlikely to ever go away, but had we had the steam mop from DAY 1 in this house, perhaps we may have avoided the heavy dirt seeping into our flooring……..

Gross right?

Overall, I highly recommend the Steam Boost as it is very convenient and if you are looking for an easy way to deep clean and want to avoid the grossness of wringing out a mop and using a bucket of soapy water, the Swiffer solutions are for you!

    • Joyce – The package says it is safe on Laminate. In one of the photos above, (it looks small – but you can read the writing ) it shows which floors it can be used and they say laminate. Thanks for the question. Good luck!

  1. Is there any residue from the pad? Like there is with the wet jet? I guess there is no way around using the refill pads? In a pinch, I’ve used microfiber cloths on my regular swifter. Just wondering if that’s possible here? Also, does it pick up mild debris like hair and crumbs? Thanks!

  2. Thanks for one’s marvelous posting! I seriously enjoyed reading it, you might be a great author. I will make certain to bookmark your blog and will eventually come back someday. I want to encourage yourself to continue your great job, have a nice morning!

  3. I have five dogs and use the regular swifter vac , the manual swifter mop . I have two cordless mops to do the whole house and also a bissell cordless that I use so when I saw this I thought that I would combine everything and try it. Love it, takes only a couple of minutes to heat up, like the pads with it and I just spray a little Lysol mix or the Windex with vinegar on the floor go over with the steam broom and it cleans and sensitize in just a few minutes and drys very fast. Still use the bissell cordless to get the hairs up but for dirt this is the bomb. Love it.

  4. I wasn’t very happy with the steamboost as it leaves terrible streaks. I wish someone had mentioned that before I spent $50.00 on it. 🙁

  5. I am wondering how the Steambooster will work on polyurethane wood floors?
I will it bring up and remove the shiny finish?
I noticed no responses to the above questions person have asked and wonder if this website post
    is monitored for followup questions?
    Thank you, Judy

  6. I just received this as a gift for Christmas, I’d have to say it is very easy to set up, cleans the floors very well BUT, It does leave horrible streaks everywhere. It is my first time using it so maybe I’m doing something wrong but even after wiping the streaks they are still there. Very disappointed!

  7. You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really something which I feel
I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely
huge for me. I am having a look forward for your subsequent publish, I’ll try to get the cling of
    it!
