How to style your hair in a Sleek Modern Pony Tail: 

1. Spray Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo directly at the root, crown and front of hair.  Use your dryer to work in excess powder, and brush through to refresh hair before styling.

2.       Pull-up and section-off hair around crown, then tease to create volume; set aside.

3.       Use a brush to smooth-out the hair on the sides and back.  Pull the back section of hair into a ponytail, securing it with an elastic.

4.       Take a side section and wrap around the ponytail, securing with a bobby pin. Take the opposite side and also wrap around the pony, securing with a bobby pin.  Lastly, take the teased crown section and lightly smooth and brush back over the ponytail.

Melissa Joan Hart Dishes on her love of CARS with Disney

Celebrity Mom Video! I adore Melissa Joan Hart. So excited to see her spending a day with the team from Disney to support the launch of their RIDEMAKERZ Cars toys. In this clip she spills about Cars-inspired playtime with her sons, a dog she named after her family’s favorite Cars character, and how she identifies with the lovable, laughable Mater.

RIDEMAKERZ now allows kids to build their favorite Cars 2 characters and then make them their own through individual customization. The Toys “R” Us “Snap N Go” line offers kids everything they need to “trick-out” their favorite characters from the Cars 2 movie.

We’ve never tried out these toys, but they sure sound fun! Character choices include Lightning McQueen, Mater, Finn McMissile and Francesco Bernoulli – each custom car kit is priced at MSRP $19.99 to $39.99.

Kendra Wilkinson Baskett & Baby Hank Get Ready for Halloween

Kendra and adorable Hank are feeling the Halloween spirit. Old Navy sent us these photos  of Kendra & baby Hank that are too cute!  Nice to see celebs consider stores like Old Navy – a place where I shop – for their  Halloween costumes. Aren’t these picks for toddlers and kids super fun for only $24.95 too?

Spotted! Kendra Wilkinson Baskett and Baby Hank  shopping for Halloween costumes at Old Navy in Los Angeles on Friday. Hank tried on the shark costume which is very cute but I really love this hamburger!

The mother-and-son duo browsed through all of the boy costume options before landing on Kendra’s favorite- the shark.  Baby Hank snacked on some goldfish out of a pumpkin trick-or-treat bag while Kendra tried on festive Halloween headbands. Love these costumes and this fun headband that Kendra is sporting.

Brooke Burke Toys Around with Hot Wheels Wall Tracks

Oh I love how these Wall Tracks from Hot Wheels save space on the floor but still let little boys build extravagant race courses for their beloved vehicles! These will be a hot seller this holiday season. I saw a demo in San Diego this summer and was definitely impressed.

Busy mom and co-host of Dancing With The Stars Brooke Burke-Charvet, took some time out before heading to set this week to spend some quality time playing with her son Shaya (age 3) and their new Wall Tracks from Hot Wheels.

This self-proclaimed tom-boy loved Hot Wheels growing up, so much so, her dad built her a custom track out of wood that covered her entire bedroom floor. Brooke remembers it fondly and has held on to some of her favorite cars. Now she’s sharing her love of Hot Wheels with her son Shaya. Brooke and Shaya built their own track – the new Wall Tracks for Hot Wheels. Instead of covering the bedroom floor, this track goes up on the wall, saving valuable floor space in the playroom Shaya shares with big sister Rain (age 4).

Kimberly Williams Paisley teams up with Elmo to fight hunger!

On October 9th, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams Paisley and the Sesame Street Muppets will help families cope with hunger with the airing of a primetime special, “Growing Hope Against Hunger.”  The show will air at 7 PM.

This hour-long special raises awareness of the widespread issue of hunger in the United States and introduces Lily, a new Muppet, whose family has an ongoing struggle with hunger.

Nicole Richie and her cuties at the Rapunzel Celebration in London

I spotted Nicole Richie and her adorable kids plus hubby Joel Madden enjoying the Disney Princess Rapunzel Celebration yesterday. I thought Harlow looked totally darling in a tiny Rapunzel dress and gummy shoes!

And Nicole was tweeting it up with the Hashtag #RapunzelCelebration about her excitement to fly to London to get hair tips from Rapunzel… but that she actually really just wanted to meet Flynn Rider.

The family had front row seats and were definitely hot with the media attending as Nicole was the biggest American celebrity in attendance. I thought she looked beautiful in person too.

Other celebrities in attendance included – from the UK, Peter Andre, Helen McCrory, and Damian Lewis, from Brazil Ticiane Pinheiro Justus, and from Italy Laura Chiatti.

Bridget Moynahan & Randy Jackson launch Let’s Rock! Elmo Toys

Everyone loves Elmo! My kids are still somewhat obsessed with this furry red monster – his giggle is irresistible to kids and adults isn’t it?

Celebs are charmed by Elmo too and came out to support the launch of the new Let’s Rock! Elmo line – yes these toys really do rock so put them on your Christmas list now!

Bridesmaids DVD – Perfect Girls Night In Party Idea

Despite our best efforts, my girlfriends and I never made to the theater to see Bridesmaids.

I guess this is not really surprising as  trying to coordinate the hectic mom & kid schedule between 3 friends, is next to impossible.

But seriously, we tried so hard to make  it to the theaters to see the hysterical Bridesmaids comedy flick that everyone was raving about last spring and summer, but the stars did not align for us.

So with the release of Bridesmaids on DVD this week on September 20th, my girlfriends and I will FINALLY be able to get together for an evening of laughs and fun at home on our own schedule.

We are so excited that Universal Studios and Bridesmaids sent us some fun essentials to get in the party mode! Think pink and black paper products and lots of recipes for cool drinks to concoct and mix up!

Now, I’ve got the supplies ready to host a cute Bridesmaids themed party – we just need to figure out a date that works for all of us now that the DVD is available for viewing at home! As busy moms know, this is not easy with overnight work travel schedules, back to school nights in September, swim team practice, dance lessons, and soccer games thrown into the mix!

We will make this happen somehow, so we can relax TOGETHER to see this movie after a fun evening of girl talk. I can not wait as watching comedies like this are totally my favorite way to escape and unwind.

Christy Turlington to Run New York City Marathon

All for charity! Love that this celeb mom is using her run for good. I ran my 1st marathon for the Leukemia Society and Christy is running the NYC Marathon to benefit her charity – Every Mother Counts. Wonderful and inspiring.

Fashion icon and women’s health activist, Christy Turlington Burns will participate in the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 6 to raise money and awareness for her non-profit organization, Every Mother Counts.
