Tori Spelling Goes Old Hollywood on the cover of Parenting Magazine

On stands now! Love this pic of Tori and her family. So very very old Hollywood.

Take a peek at the snippets from the interview below and the actual cover shot too too.  My fave quote from  Tori, ” I  screw up as a mommy every single day.” This celebrity Mom is hands on and real – or at least that is how I always imagine her to be and her interviews and quotes show her as being vulnerable like the rest of mere mortals when it comes to motherhood.

The pregnant actress, author, reality star and mom joins husband Dean McDermott and their two adorable children Liam, 4 and Stella, 3 in an old Hollywood-inspired Halloween costume feature for Parenting’s October issue, on stands today.

Tori opens up to Parenting about how motherhood has made her more confident, how it’s helped heal her troubled relationship with mom Candy, and the one thing she hopes her children don’t inherit from her.  Interview highlights include:

  • ·         “I wasn’t truly comfortable with myself until I was about 30.” I feel like I missed out on some really great opportunities in my 20s because I didn’t feel good about myself. I spent so much time and energy wondering if I wasn’t worthy, and trying to find people to validate me, instead of validating myself. When I think of what my greatest wish for my kids is, it’s for them to know who they are, and be proud and confident, before 30.

  • ·         “I have a whole new appreciation for my own mom these days.” …my mom is a really great grandmother—she’s super present in the kids’ lives. [Parenthood] bonds you on a whole different level.

  • ·         “There’s something I did when I was young that I hope my kids won’t do.” I held everything in emotionally. I was scared to cry, or if people asked me what was wrong, I’d say “nothing.”

Brooke Burke & Kids Bike for Chocolate Milk

This is the kind of bike ride that would appeal to my 3 year old Kyle and 5 year old Kenzie. They obsess of chocolate milk – a special treat in our house.

Newly married Brooke Burke enjoys a bike ride with her kids through her Malibu neighborhood before school starts.  Daughter, Rain, 4, and son Shaya, 3, try to keep up with their mom as she works to keep her post-wedding body in shape for the upcoming Season 11 of “Dancing With the Stars.”

The trio stopped at the Malibu Country Mart to pick-up some TruMoo chocolate milk, a healthy and delicious snack.

Since the birth of her baby boy, Alyssa has continued to share sweet tweets to her 1.7 Million Twitter followers with a bit of scoop on her new adventures in motherhood. Hugh Jackman sizzles in Real Steel releasing on October 7th

Fans of  celeb Dad, Hugh Jackman, will be excited to see him tackle a new role in Real Steel which opens in theaters everywhere on October 7th.  Here’s the official movie poster below. My sources working on this movie, tell me this film will appeal to the entire family so I’ll be excited to see what Parents & their tweens or teens think of it once it releases.

The combination of steamy Hugh on screen for the ladies and the fighting & robot action for the guys sounds like a hit to me.

Here’s the official scoop from DreamWorks Pictures:

A action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

“Real Steel” is directed by Shawn Levy (“Night at the Museum” franchise and “Date Night”).

“Real Steel” is about a former boxer (Hugh Jackman) who, against all odds,  gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams up with his estranged son (Dakota Goyo) to build and train the perfect contender for the new high-tech sport of robot boxing.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s son Sasha wearing 77kids

I love how casual Naomi usually appears in NYC and that she is ALWAYS spotted with her kids. Just like us!  I’m no celebrity Mom, but if I was, I hope I’d be like her and always be with my kids instead of handing them off 24/7 to a nanny.

Love 77kids! Since they are the title sponsor of our Back to School “Style School” event that I’m hosting in NYC on August 20th, I’m excited to see that the celebrity babies are styling in these threads too!

Take a peek here as Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s son Sasha is wearing the 77kids by american eagle 77 Stripe Graphic T and 77 Cut-Off Cord Short while walking their dog in NYC’s East Village.
