My husband and I are literally obsessed with Trop50 – it tastes amazing and we can not buy it fast enough for how much we drink.  I’m amazed that it is 50% less sugar and calories too!

I think others feel the same as I’m often going to the grocery store or Target to find myself  buying the absolute last bottle of Trop50 on the shelf – and if there is 3 or4 jugs left – I’ll buy them all- as I’m finding my local stores don’t stock enough of this yummy juice beverage to keep up with our thirst for it.

My resolutions are posted below…. and my tips to myself for keeping them!

So what’s my resolution? I’m resolving to continue to take better care of myself and continue to try to improve my fitness level. I’m a former athlete and as a Mom keeping up with the level of intensity for working out has been difficult. As a Mom, it’s so easy to worry about everyone else and often neglect our own personal health.  - from the foods I eat, amount of liquid I drink, to the number of days a week I exercise to scheduling those necessary doctor or dental appointments.

I resolve to stay on top of my own health while also making my own exercise a major priority. I know millions of Americans resolve to exercise more on the New Year but many fail to stick with it – I see this myself based on the number of people out for a run or at the gym the 1st week of the New Year versus any other time of the year.

So – my advice to myself – and to all of you – is that baby steps and setting a goal make a huge difference in the amount you work out. This worked great for me last year and I hope it will prove successful this year too.

Take Baby Steps: On those days I don’t want to go for a run – I tell myself just run 10 minutes around the block or 2 miles on the treadmill. 9 out of 10 times I’ll end up running more like 3 miles- and if not, I still exercised and went out for a run to get my blood flowing and fresh air into my lungs. I tell myself to do at least 25 sit ups – and when I do I usually end up doing at least 100. And if not, at least I did 25!

Sign up for a competitive race: This is awesome incentive to get you moving on those days you’d rather just read a book or it feels to cold to go outside. I’m signed up for the Feb 26th, 2012 Disney Princess Half Marathon – as I know this will keep me motivated during the hardest time of year – winter when it’s freezing and dark outside. So I can supplement runs outdoors with swimming, time on the treadmill or even a work out DVD but I’ll be motivated to stay in shape and keep my fitness up.
