Vtech V.Reader Review & Giveaway

Win it! We’re giving away Vtech’s latest reading technology toy, the V.Reader,  for kids aged 3-7. Take a peek at what we love about the V.Reader below in our video and review below. We’re all about learning to read as Kenzie is 4 yrs old, fabulous at quiet time, and quite determined to learn to read with each passing day. What does Mom and 4 yr old Kenzie like about the V.Reader?

1. The V.Reader brings stories to life as kids can follow along word by word to the tale as it is brought to life with animation, sound, and music on the scren.

2. Bonus: I love that the V.Reader is very kid tough with a sturdy plastic cover to protect the keyboard and screen when the kids are reading the story.

3. The kids can also play games instead of reading stories using this great little keyboard to help them work on their reading skills, vocab, and to really learn how to read each word and sentence. Very cool.

4. Takes 4 AA batteries….very easy to install, I didn’t even need a screwdriver.

5. The cartridge factor…. new books are $19.99 and sold on cartridges that can be inserted into the V.Reader. I find this  far easier than me needing to hook up our Leapfrog Tag reader to my laptop to constantly take books on and off based on the whimsical reading desires of my preschoolers.

6. Online you can track the learning of your child and download some 100 other stories. We haven’t done this yet -remember I’m lazy about hooking my toys up to my laptop….. However, apparently some of these titles are free so I will definitely do so. Plus Kenzie loves for me to go online and claim her rewards. Apparently, you can even print out a certificate for your kids too. She’ll be all over that feature !
