USA Swimming partners with Finding Dory #JustKeepSwimming #FindingDoryEvent #FunnestSport

Love that two of my favorite organizations are teaming up to encourage kids to join a swim a team! USA Swimming knows that Dory’s best advice is to “JUST KEEP SWIMMING!” and I couldn’t agree more! Swimming is an amazing life skill for kids to develop and such a wonderful sport that combines both team efforts and individual performance that enables everyone to find success. No matter your speed, everyone can always shoot for a best time!  With the biggest swimming summer in four years, USA Swimming is joining forces with Disney and Pixar to encourage families around the country to not only find Dory, but to find a swim team through the SwimToday program.

I’m off to LA today for Disney’s Finding Dory movie premiere and can not wait to walk the red carpet, watch the new movie, and interview the cast – even Ellen! My kids are hoping I’ll bump into some official “Olympic” USA swimmers at the premiere and after party too after they heard about USA Swimming’s Finding Dory partnership.

USA Swimming partners with Finding Dory

Every month, USA Swimming sends all their USS swimmers this awesome SPLASH magazine which my kids absolutely love. Especially as we lead up to the Olympics, it’s really neat for the kids to read about all the Olympians and Olympic hopefuls for RIO. To celebrate their partnership with Finding Dory and the upcoming Olympics, everyone got a copy of their magazine with their very own swim cap personalized on the cover. Take a peek at Kenzie and Kyle’s swim cap – and you can see even Dory has her own as well! Cute.

“Dory and SwimToday have one important key message in common – we want everyone to ‘Just keep swimming’, but more importantly we want moviegoers to join a swim team,” said USA Swimming’s Chief Marketing Officer Matt Farrell. “’Finding Dory’ will be instrumental in our SwimToday marketing to invite non-swimmers to be a part of the funnest sport and be more like Dory, Nemo and friends.”

If your kids have never experienced being part of a swim team, definitely find one today! Whatever your level, your local swim teams probably have a spot for you! Check out Swim Today to help you find a team near you for your children or you to join.
