Vicks Comfort Flex Thermometer

I profess I’m a bit of a hypochondriac myself so when it comes to my kids being either sick or potentially ill, I’m somewhat obsessive about monitoring their every symptom. Luckily for my me, my poor kids put up with my worrying and let me take their temperature checking for a fever on a fairly regular basis when they are dealing with headaches or cold/cough symptoms. Now that my oldest daughter (age 5) can use a thermometer under the tongue, I’m obsessed with this Vicks Comfort Flex thermometer. I’ve been using it for about 18 months and it is my fave thermometer -trust me I’ve tested a lot! What I love is that is is ultra fast (think about 10 seconds) and it has a light system that enables you to read the ultimate temperature reading in the dark. It will be green if the child is normal, yellow if they have a slight fever (think 99.6-101) and then gets bright red on the display background screen when the kidlet is totally sick – say 102 -104. Sadly I’ve even hit 105 on our readings at the worst of times! Anyhow, this brightly lit color screen is a godsend in the middle of the night so you don’t need to disturb the uncomfortable sick child with bright light when they are waking up super sick at night and need a dose of tylenol or cuddle from Mom & Dad. Yet, you can still take their temperature quickly and easily so you know how they are doing and if they need more medicine or not. Only $4. Available at almost all drug stores. I bought mine at Target. Classy Mommy Approved. Disclosure: I
