What to Expect When Your Expecting #Giveaway

Win it!

Okay, this is a fun one!  I’m beyond THRILLED to be working withCentrum Specialist® PreNatal to host a special Movie screening for the upcoming movie, “What to Expect When Your Expecting” from Lionsgate, at my local movie theater in King of Prussia PA.

To raise awareness about the importance of taking those prenatal vitamins for proper  pregnancy nutrition, Centrum Specialist Prenatal has teamed up with Classy Mommy for me to bring 5 winners (2 tickets/winner) to a special showing of this movie. Hooray!

Seriously, doesn’t this movie look HYSTERICAL? I can’t think of a better way to connect with other Moms and Moms to Be than sharing – and in my case commiserating over our pregnancy stories. Pretty much every “Mom to Be” relies on the book “What to Expect When Your Expecting” and I’m so excited to see how they turn this pregnancy bible into a movie. The body changes, the symptoms, and the prep for labor and delivery.  This movie is sure to be so much fun to go see with a bunch of girlfriends.

ClassyMommy.com will choose 5 winners and each winner can bring a Guest with them to attend this special screening with me next week on Monday May 14th, 2012 at 7:30 PM at the United Artists Movie Theater in King of Prussia.

Centrum Specialist Prenatal especially wants to connect with “Soon-to-Be” Moms and New Moms so we can shower you with this fun screening of “What to Expect When Your Expecting” plus Centrum Specialist Prenatal goodies too.

Here’s the scoop on how to enter:

1. Please leave a comment below by 2:00 PM EST on Thursday May 10th, 2012 telling me what you expect during your pregnancy or how your past pregnancies lived up to your expectations. (You know all those fun details – symptoms, emotions, crazy cravings for pickles or in my case a need to sustain myself on only grilled cheese and egg sandwiches.)

Additional Entries (please leave an additional comment for each )

2. Like ClassyMommy on Facebook.

3. Follow ClassyMommy on Twitter

Was your pregnancy what you expected? What wacky symptoms did you experience? Or did you just coast through your 9 months with a healthy glow?

I admit the 2nd trimester of both my pregnancies was simply glorious but the 1st and the last for both were certainly NOT glorious!  Total nausea and lots of dry heaves for the first 15 weeks  ( Yes I’m that person that somehow would never have the relief of throwing up and instead would just dry heave – while driving the car, taking a walk, or well just anytime!)  Then come 3rd trimester. Uggh I profess that was sadly all about the constipation and the pre-term labor.  We’re talking regular contractions every 3 minutes starting at about 26 weeks. Crazy! The good news was it was just my body’s way to prep for labor instead of true labor that dilated me. Although Kenzie did pop out a good 4 weeks early!

Too much information right? That’s why I know this movie is going to be too hysterical because I suspect all these ladies will be dishing about all those things we think but didn’t always say!

Important note – This giveaway will END at 2:00 PM EST on Thursday May 10th, 2012. This is so we can contact winners ASAP to coordinate our showing on Monday May 14th, 2012 at King of Prussia United Artist Theater. Complete entry rules listed at bottom of this post. If I don’t hear from winners within 12 hours of notifying them, I will need to select another winner given the time table of this specific giveaway & movie screening.

Please leave a comment below by 2:00 PM EST on Thursday May 10th, 2012 to enter to win.

I’ve been dying to see this film! Elizabeth Banks is so hilarious :)

  2. Alexis says:

During this pregnancy, I expect to have a much harder time bonding with the baby since I’m chasing around a 1-year-old all day long! But don’t worry — Mommy, Daddy, and Big Sister are very excited and can’t wait for Baby Brother to arrive in September! :)

I am following Classy Mom on facebook for an additional entry! :)

  4. Jess Skone says:

I was so excited to experience pregnancy! (My son is now 1 year old.) Then the “morning sickness” came and DIDN’T GO! I was sick all 9 months! One highlight was getting sick in a trash can under my desk at work. A high light that I repeated quite a few times. My son was also stubborn and was 2 weeks late. He was nice enough to let mommy endure the sickness for an additional 14 days! Even through all the sickness I’d do it again on a heartbeat! I’m anxious to see what my second pregnancy will hold… when it’s been long enough that I’ve forgotten the pain of delivery! Haha! I cannot wait to see this film!!

  6. Alissa says:

So… grilled cheese and egg sandwiches sounds oddly good. And no, I’m not expecting! I didn’t have many odd cravings during my own pregnancies, but I did fall in love with avocado while I was expecting my second. I’ll always have my daughter to thank for my love of guac. And, even at two years old, she loves it, too!

  7. Jenn says:

    Chic-fil-a Lemonade…I couldn’t get enough of it

I have been pregnant 4 times in the past 5 years!! I have three boys ages 5, 4 and 2 and those pregancies were easy. I am 35 weeks with our fourth baby right now and it has been harder than I ever could have imagined!! From tummy troubles to stretch marks to vericose veins all over the place, this one is going to be my little trouble-maker :)

pregnancy was a beautiful time in my life. I enjoyed every moment, it was full of great memories. Then it end with the most beautiful gift of all my son. MOtherhood is somethign noone can ever explain and is the best thing that can happen to you.

  17. Stephanie says:

My first two pregnancies were a breeze, well, except for the intense back pain with every movement! Labor was faster than I would have thought too – too fast for my 1st who decided to impulsively enter this world without giving us enough time to make my hospital (luckily there was another on our way we stopped at)! This time around, not feeling quite as fun but still exciting!

    Facebook fan as well!

  20. Tammy F says:

I say, expect the unexpected… I had my son 5 weeks early and was NOT prepared (hospital bag was not packed, forgot the camera, and all the gifts from my baby shower were still packed in their boxes in my basement – so the nursery wasn’t even ready). In the end, everything turned out fine. My advice – get everything organized at least two months before your due date. ;-)

I follow on FB too. ;-)

  22. Roxana says:

i follow you on FB and want to win this :)

  23. Caroline says:

This looks hysterical! I loved not reading “What to expect when you are expecting” and instead reading “The Girlfriends guide to Pregnancy” much more appropriate and not a scary…2 boys later and all is good. Both came early 10 days and 3 weeks, could have never expected that!
