Join Tide Loads of Hope and Eagles’ Zach Ertz to donate clothing on August 25th: “Driving for Hope” tour heads to Philadelphia” #LoadsofHope

I’m absolutely thrilled to partner with Tide on this amazing project that will give back to my local community in Philadelphia. This will also be a great way to involve my own kids in the process of giving back to our community and enable them to see firsthand the efforts it takes to make a difference and how when we all work together, we can make a big impact. Kenzie and Kyle volunteer with me monthly at our local food bank, but now the kids are cleaning out their closets and will come with me to Tide’s Loads of Hope “Driving for Hope” tour stop in Philly, where they are collecting clothing that will be washed and renewed, and then given to local Philadelphia shelter, Bethesda Project.

For the past 12 years, the Tide Loads of Hope program has been committed to helping families in need through the basic comfort of clean clothing. The Truck has been in action during major disasters, like Hurricane Katrina, but is now  answering the overwhelming call of people who want to help proactively! They are now taking a different approach by traveling the United States to make it easier for folks to join in the journey as they collect, renew and donate clothing to those in need of a fresh start.

I love that Tide is encouraging people to clean out their closets in a way that can benefit those in need in our very own communities. I’m always looking for ways to teach Kenzie and Kyle to give back locally so this is a perfect fit. It also helps the kids realize they can use less and instead give back to benefit others.

Check out a sample of all the clothing I’ve been collecting to donate — we just rummaged through our own closets! We can’t wait to donate to Tide Loads of Hope. I hope you can join us!

How You Can Help Tide

Join us in Philadelphia to donate your clothes! Philadelphia residents can bring clothing to the Tide Loads of Hope Truck at Walmart, 2200 Wheatsheaf Lane from 8 am to 2 pm on August 25th. These clothes will be washed and renewed with Tide.

On its second day in Philadelphia, the Tide Loads of Hope truck will head back to Walmart where they will wash all the clothing donated to give to the Bethesda Project.

Not located in Philly? There are still ways to help! The “Driving for Hope Tour” will be making its way to Miami, Dallas, and Denver from now into the fall. You can also visit tideloadsofhope.com and donate directly, or purchase a t-shirt where $4 from each sale will go towards helping families affected by disaster.

I love how Tide is encouraging us all to give back, and making it easy too!
