Valentine’s Day Inspired Muddy Buddy Recipe

Sometimes, something so simple can be so delicious! Kind of like muddy buddy’s. Have you ever heard or had them? It’s Chex cereal done up with just a few simple ingredients { like these, white chocolate heaven! } that makes for one amazing sweet treat! AND fun for the kids to make. Which is why I thought these White Chocolate Valentine’s Day Muddy Buddies would be perfect for your festive month and a great little treat to bring to the classroom!

Valentine’s Day Inspired Muddy Buddy Recipe

All you need are a few simple ingredients to make such a power packed delicious treat!

White Chocolate Valentines Day Inspired Muddy Buddies

Ingredients:

9 cups of chex mix cereal
1 1/3 cups of white chocolate chips
1/4 cup of butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
1 cup of chocolate candies { I used red & pink chocolate for color! }
Additional add ins: extra white chocolate chips

Directions:
Melt white chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler or in the microwave { that’s how i did it } If melting in the microwave, place in a microwave safe bowl and melt in 15 second intervals stirring in between so the chocolate doesn’t burn 😉 Once chocolate is melted, add vanilla extract and stir. Pour mixture over cereal and mix until cereal is well coated.

once the cereal is well coated, you want to put it in a large zip up bag, where you can then add the powdered sugar to evenly coat 🙂 one this step is done… pour in a bowl, or evenly distribute into small bags for your kids classmates for valentines day! Add a little festive flare with red & pink candy, and your set!
