It’s been a busy week! Feeling jet set after last week in California, a few days with my cute kiddies, and now in Miami for a press event with P&G.

Embracing the moment and relaxing with girlfriends is great – although I admit I wish we all weren’t feeling so tethered to our iPHones – but at least this time it’s all happening in the sunshine.
Maximizing every second and the warm weather – ran 8 miles today and 3 last night on this awesome promenade. Beautiful, very motivating, and definitely the time to take advantage of the weather as I’m trying so hard to up my fitness level as I prep for the half marathon – only 4 weeks away.
Being in Miami feels like being in NYC – but on the water. So cosmopolitan. And big huge tall buildings overlooking the very blue ocean water.
The hotel is very “art decco” – loved the blue tile in the bathroom.
And the pool area is swanky, hip, and very relaxing. No complaints here!
We had a yummy dinner last night too – which we all topped off with a S’mores donut. Crazy yummy. Melted chocolate with a homemade style glazed donut. Out of this world good – I know it sounds kind of weird and disgusting but it was disgustingly delicious!
And yes it is tough to leave the kids – especially when I’m going something so fun without them. So we always take a pic before I leave….I love to keep the pic with me to look at and it makes them feel special too as they know I’m making a big deal about wanting to keep their little tiny spirits close to my heart with a photo.
Fingers crossed they stay healthy as both were home sick with me Monday although I profess having some perverse kind of pleasure having them home to snuggle with me all day.
Amazing all the logistics it takes for Mom to leave – a total of 6 different people – not counting Mike are pitching in during my 46 hours away from home – and I’ll be saying good bye to these gorgeous palms very soon for my 6 AM flight tomorrow!
