Apple & Ham Grilled Cheese Recipe

Tis the season for Apples! Check out our Apple & Ham Grilled Cheese recipe. It’s an unusual and fun way to enjoy this seasonal produce. I love to find all kinds of ways to bring the flavors of Fall into our meals. From buying apple cider to simply eating apples with peanut butter, we’re all about Apples in October at our house.

It’s super simple to make but tastes delicious! I find adding apples to Grilled Cheese is fun for the kids and the adults too!

Apple & Ham Grilled Cheese Recipe

Ingredients: Cheese, Ham, Champagne Mustard, and Bread. 1-2 varieties of Apples. I prefer Honeycrisp as they taste a bit tart and work beautifully with Ham and a champagne mustard.

Directions: Spread champagne mustard on your bread. Top with cheese and ham. Then add thinly slice apples. Grill in a pan or if your a convenience chef like myself, simply pop your sandwich in the George Forman grill. Enjoy!

If you don’t have time to pick fresh apples at the orchard like most of us during our hectic schedules, Walmart stocks a huge variety of apples in store that are fresh and delicious!  Walmart sells Apple totes at a great value price which is great for baking Apple crisps or stocking the kids lunch boxes with apples each day too. Honey Crisp, Sweet Tango, Bartlett, Red, Gala and more flavors are available in store at Walmart.

I love Honeycrisp for baking and as an ingredient in recipes – like my Apple & Ham Grilled Cheese.
