Wow! Last week I hosted a salad tasting party for my family and 2 girlfriends at Chick-Fil-A so we could all sample their brand new salads that launched last month. We had a grand time feasting on the BEST salads that anyone of us have had for years and truly we all felt they were fresher than what we make at home.
The kids also were thrilled with the party atmosphere they set up for us that included little stuffed cows, balloons, and a backstage surprise tour of the kitchen that they decided to do for us on a whim after we were asking a ton of questions about their fresh produce. We loved this tour but the kids thought it was extra cool going backstage into the kitchen to see how nuggets are breaded, wraps and salads are made, chicken is grilled and dishes are washed.
We sampled all 3 of their brand new salads. It was tough to pick a favorite as they were all so different and delicious. They are also all MADE when you order, so if you need to make any alterations to a salad – like hold the Bleu Cheese or you can ask for grilled chicken in lieu of fried chicken.
This was the Fresh Grilled Market Salad. YUM! Tons of fresh fruit, grilled chicken and they recommend an Apple Cider Vinagarette dressing to go with it. It was delicious!
Next we sampled the New Asian Salad that is served with chopped warm nuggets on top of it along with garlic wonton crackers. So good!
Finally, we tasted the New Cobb Salad. It was heavenly as well. Warm chicken strips, chopped egg, cheese and a super awesome salad dressing – Avocado Lime which is crazy yummy.
Take a peek at our photos of the backstage tour when we were able to hang out in the kitchen. So fabulous. The kids thought this was the coolest thing ever and are begging to go back and visit MARIA, our host for the evening at Chick-Fil-A in Lionville, PA.
Even more impressive to us adults was the incredible QUALITY of food and learning that literally EVERY DAY, the produce comes in FRESH to each Chick-Fil-A store. Wow. Also, everything is literally HAND CHOPPED and WASHED. Thus, there are not brown bits of lettuce or yucky scraps in your salad. We are talking whole cabbages, gigantic carrots and all that good stuff.
Seriously, these salads are better then what I make at home or when I buy produce at Wegmans.
And the fact that Chick-Fil-A did a totally random kitchen tour with us – without advance planning – is a true testament to their cleanliness in our opinion.
Note: I was not paid to host this party, however, Chick-Fil-A paid for the meals for myself and my guests. As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
