Day 1: The Blue Print Cleanse

Big day. Here’s a peek at my juices for Day 1 and a little video diary about my day!  I won’t lie the green juice is a bit like torture. Imagine drinking your salad. Not too appetizing huh?  I only made it through 2 full juices and 1/2 of 2 other juices. Fed Ex delivered them today so I couldn’t start until noon which was a bit challenging. Hopefully, tomorrow I’ll drink a bit more!

Ever since I saw a TV segment on Good Morning America about drinking green juices to cleanse your body of toxins, I’ve been intrigued and wanted to give it a go. Last spring I read about the Blue Print Cleanse and bought the book all about it. I’m doing a 3 day cleanse and frankly not to worried about doing some minimal cheating (think avocado, fruit, or cucumber).  I decided to take the plunge and convinced my great friend, Whitney from Mommies with Style,  to take the adventure with me . Day 1 was kind of tough but not too bad.  Hunger wasn’t a huge issue on Day 1, however the green juices are somewhat unbearable. Like I only made it through 1/2 of my 2 green juices. Otherwise, I found the lemonade, pineapple mint, and cashew milk to be totally great.

Disclosure: We received a 50% off editorial discount. It was still a small fortune . Making them your own would be far cheaper but you will need to invest in a juicer and some unusual ingredients like agave nectar or cayenne.
