It’s no secret I love sweets and treats, but I also love finding ways to take some favorites and make them semi healthy. It’s fun to take something and prove those taste buds wrong! Much like these 3 ingredient cereal bars. Yes, that’s right – only 3 ingredients!!!!
They will be gone before you know it and you will find yourself making another batch, then another and even maybe another ;-). But, no worries, with 3 ingredients you can’t go wrong with eating them all.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cups cheerios
{ I find crunchy holds things together better then creamy }
Directions:
- Line an 8 x 8 inch square pan with parchment paper
- Combine peanut butter & honey in a large saucepan on medium heat
- Heat until mixture just starts to melt & blend together { about 2 minutes }
- Remove from heat and add cheerios until evenly coated
- Pour mixture into prepared pan, make sure it’s pressed nicely & covers the pan
- Let them sit for 1 hour
- Cut & devour
Like I said, you may end up making these a bunch of times. With my experience, I also tried adding raw almonds & dark chocolate M&Ms = the perfect mid afternoon treat.
