We just had the most marvelous 4 day visit with our virtual friends turned real life friends, The Sheaffer’s from GiveEveryDay.com and MetropolitanMama.net, founded by Stephanie Sheaffer.
If you haven’t read their story, check out their blog. They are a fascinating family who value the important things in life – they sold everything, yes EVERYTHING, to spend a year together as a family driving cross country in an RV to give back to others and spend quality time together as a family.
I love their mission and them so much. Plus, I find it incredible how thanks to the power of the web, I’m able to turn these virtual connections into real life relationships.
Our kids hit it off and Kenzie got to experience what it was like to have a sister for 4 days – which did indeed involve lots of dress up clothes!
Thanks again for hosting us! We all had so much fun…and it was such a relaxing couple of days (we needed that). 🙂
