Father’s Day Fishing Inspiration

How do you celebrate Father’s Day? For the last few years, the kids have been fishing with their Poppy & Daddy so it’s become part of our tradition. My Dad is quite the fisherman so the kids and my husband love soaking up his fishing advice and learning his outdoor skills to improve their luck and prospects of catching a big fish!

So when it comes to gift giving on Father’s Day, we’re all about gifting the Fishing gear.

Kyle loves to wear his Fishing vest for all his outdoor adventures too as he can store all kinds of gear in it – snacks, fishing lores, and a first aid kit so he is ready for anything! We picked this up at Walmart for him a few years ago and he is still getting amazing use out of it. Genius purchase for kids!

This year, the kids and I are buying this $19 fishing rod sold at Walmart for their Dad. You can buy the Shakespeare Reed and Rod with spinning reel combo on rollback for $19.96

When you shop the Fishing and Outdoors aisle at Walmart, the kids always pick up a few extra squishy creepy crawlies and Mister Twisters to add to Poppy’s tackle box too.fathers day fishing

Tackle boxes range from $19-$39 depending on how big of a tackle kit you select. This Plano Tackle set is on sale for $39 at Walmart and it is perfect for the Dad who wants every variety of lore.
