Very cool new product alert for music fans. We were able to sample these Flips headphones that are totally revolutionary in that they literally transform from a solo traditional headphones into a product that will work as “speakers” for a social listening experience that everyone can enjoy.
Basically, you literally just FLIP the earcups OUT and they then become powerful speakers
Flips headphones are new and exclusive to Walmart. The price point is $119.88. This sounds expensive compared to the free mini earbuds I use that came free with my iPhone, however this product is a serious headset providing high quality sound for 1 or everyone depending on how you use it. I don’t have a strong background in sound technology, but apparently the Flips technology is patent pending for the high definition sound it provides in both headphone and speaker modes.
So how did they work? We thought they sounded great as far as headphones go but our big pros were the comfort, the fun idea of flipping the earcups so the kids can share music or use these as a speaker when watching a movie or listening to music on roadtrips, and this nifty carrying case that comes with the Flips headphones.
