Last week I tested out Drew Barrymore’s FLOWER beauty line, sold exclusively at Walmart, to find a few easy products to create simple “Date Night” looks for Moms under $20. We had never tried her products before and since my local Walmart doesn’t carry them, I shopped online to purchase a collection of fun goodies. Everything was priced between $6 and $10 which is great compared to Department store prices for quality beauty products. The idea behind Drew’s FLOWER beauty line is to offer the highest-quality cosmetics to the masses at an affordable price. Brilliant! Of course I bought more than $20 worth just to test out all her gorgeous goodies. I’m a fan of Drew so figured I’d love her Flower make up options. Check out my FLOWER beauty haul below……
I picked up Bronzer, Lip gloss, Lipsticks, and a beautiful eye shadow quad and figured I’d test everything out to pick my faves under $20.
My Fave Flower Beauty Products
I loved everything I tried but to create versatile looks for under $20, my top 2 product picks are the Flower Eye Shadow Quad and the Fleurs Pocket Triplet Lip since these colorful options let Mom create a range of looks for the eyes and lips. This way you can coordinate with your outfit colors or select colors that are brighter or lighter depending on how “made up” you want to look.
I love this Flower Shadow Play Eye Shadow Quad as it has a whole combo of colors to create a variety of looks – both casual and more formal. I bought the Foxy Browns color ways which let me create a darker look for evening or a lighter brighter blend of browns for daytime. Priced at $10.48 at Walmart.com.
Tip: Use your own “LONG” eye shadow brush so you can properly BLEND your colors when applying eye shadow. The trick to eye shadow application is all in the blend!
My other fave item is the Flower Petite Fleurs Pocket Triplet Lip which is a handy 3 in 1 lipstick that lets you easily interchange a family of colors. It’s super easy to use and swap out the colors moving them from top to bottom by each little piece. Genius! I love that the Flower Triplet lippy easily lets Moms like me use lighter natural colors in the day or for casual events but really add a pop of color when your outfit or date night occasion demands more of a WOW factor. Casual Date Night Look with Flower Beauty
Since we’re busy with swim meets for the kids this Valentine’s Day weekend, I think we’ll be doing “Date Night” at home post a long day in New Jersey. I won’t need anything fancy, but will definitely drop the sweats for cute jeans, a top, and casual make up. So I went with my lighter browns & rose from the Eye Shadow Quad to blend a multitude of shades on my eyes but chose my brightest lippy from the triplet stick to give a little ‘pop’ to my look.
Nothing fancy, but a step up from the Yoga Pants and no make up tired working Mom evening look!
