Pantene Age Defy Review #wantthathair

I’m turning back the clock on my hair for the holidays thanks to Pantene’s Expert Age Defy collection. If only I were 10 years younger and didn’t have to worry about those little grey hairs slowly sneaking up on me – Boo!

I always love how my hair styles after shampooing with Pantene so I was very curious to test out their new “Age Defy” collection to see what was in store for my hair with this new line that was developed specifically to tackle aging hair issues.

Pantene Scientists partnered with Olay’s anti-aging experts to get to the root of women’s aging hair and developed Pantene’s first and only line of anti-aging hair care products to fight multiple signs of hair aging:

• reduces breakage
• prevents split ends
• controls frizz
• controls unruly grays
• minimizes lackluster color
• minimizes a thin look
• minimizes dryness

Pantene Age Defy Products

For about a week I tested out the following products: Pantene AgeDefy Shampoo, $8.99, Pantene AgeDefy Conditioner, $8.99, Pantene AgeDefy Advanced Thickening Treatment, $18.99, and Pantene AgeDefy Rejuvenating Hydration Masque, $12.99.

Pantene Age Defy Review

The shampoo was excellent, but what I found the most intriguing is the hydration masque and thickening treatment. The Hydration Masque is essentially a super intense deep conditioner that you leave on your hair for a few minutes in the shower. It feels awesome upon application and wash.

The other really fascinating product – and I’ve never used anything like it – is the Pantene Age Defy Advanced Thickening treatment. You can apply this to wet or dry hair. Basically, spray about 15-20 squirts directly into your scalp and part lines. Then, massage it deeply into your scalp. This daily treatment is so easy to do and I love that is something I can do for my hair daily since I don’t shampoo every day. You’ll notice your hair thickening as this supposed to really lengthen and thicken your hair.

I only used the products for a week, but I did notice my hair feeling fuller and looking more healthy. I’m anxious to continue to use these products to stay on top of my aging hair and hopefully stall the thinning and again process by tackling it now – in my late 30’s as my hair is beginning the aging process.
