Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mommies, Grandma’s, Aunties, and Nana’s! Hope you all had a relaxing and marvelous day with your families. We had a great day. Mike organized a cute card from the kids when I was at the trail going for a run this morning. He pulled out the paint and did a handprint of Kenzie and an adorable footprint of Kyle. I was a little late getting dinner reservations organized at Bonefish Grill – so we had to settle for an 11:30 lunch with my Mom, Dad, hubby Mike, Kenzie and Kyle. The thought of fish in the morning was a little weird – but then again our day starts at about 5:30 so we were able to get over it and enjoy the meal. Bonefish Grill is a favorite of mine – if you’ve never been – totally go! It’s owned by the same company that owns Roy’s – a restaurant that became my all-time favorite on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Mike and I still eat at Roy’s (and order chocolate souffle) anytime we get a coveted date night in Philadelphia which is obviously few and far between now that we’ve got 2 kids. (Date nights now are usually grabbing a quick 45 minute bite and a movie in our town – which is still a fabulous time – just not as time consuming as a trip into the city!) Kyle was an angel and slept the entire time. The kids were so great we took them to the park and Dad even helped me run a quick errand to cash in on the latest Babies R Us coupons. Kenzie most have known it was Mother’s Day as we didn’t have 1 time out all day! Grabbed her a pair of Dora sunglasses for the summer sun and let take advantage of this sweet ride with Zoe too. All in all – a good day!
