Hilary Duff Signed JOHNSON’S® Baby “Care Kit” and Gift Basket #Giveaway

How do you find ways to give back to your community? And to teach your kids to do the same?

Let me know in the comments below by October 21st for a chance to win this fabulous prize – a Hilary Duff Signed JOHNSON’S Baby Care Kit & product gift basket.

I’m a proud member of the Johnson’s Baby Cares Council and so excited to help spread the word about their efforts to give back. Like many families, I’m always trying to find a way to give back to my community and also involve my children in the process so they can learn about giving back too.

Every month, I lead a team of volunteers to pack food into backpacks for our Local Food bank that directly goes to children in need at the very elementary school my 6 year old daughter attends. Kenzie, 6, and Kyle, 4, are both old enough that they are able to come with me on Wednesday nights and assist in my efforts. Here’s my little girl helping out – I’m so proud of my kids for wanting to learn to give back to our community.

Actress Hilary Duff  supported JOHNSON’S® Baby’s First Initiative with Save the Children – you can read more about her efforts and the efforts of the JOHNSON’s Baby Cares Council to make a difference here.

I’m so excited to be involved in this large scale effort from Johnson’s Baby to make a difference and hopefully I can get my kids involved too.

Disclosure: I’m a member of the JOHNSON’s Baby Care Council and this is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. I’ve been a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House for 6 years and I think it’s so important to make time for others. My favorite part about volunteering was hosting tours for visitors and thanking them for their participation at the house. A community of helpers is an amazing thing to be a part of and I can’t wait to share the joy with my girls by encouraging them to choose their own positive way to give time to those in need. I would love to get involved with your Food Bank volunteer group if you want to send me more details. Thank you for making a difference in the county!

  2. We have the kids pick out gifts to donate at the holidays and we donate school supplies for kids who need them. When the kids get a little older, we hope to start volunteering for meal deliveries at the holidays.

  3. I have been a local volunteer for a rescue squad auxiliary for years. My kids even helped me with special fund raisers and blood drives. I have tried to help friends and neighbors in their time of need and tried to teach my children that you need to give back to your community to be a good citizen of this world.

  4. My husband and I give back to our local community my donating blood at local blood drives. We also help out at our oldest son’s school events. And my husband also volunteers at events around our community with the US Navy helping out.

  5. I am a nursing student so my fellow classmates and I volunteer our spare time to help educate and promote the importance of health care and each month we have a different issue to focus on and put on little health fairs and set up information booths to educate students and others in the community. This month we are focused on Breast Cancer so we have a booth set up every week and take turns working in it to demonstrate how to do a self breast exam and to pass out informative flyers to get the awareness out :). I also encourage my child to help as much as possible, like when we go to the public park I encourage him to throw all the trash that was left lying around into the garbage, he is also collecting soda tabs for the local Childrens hospital.

  6. I help out at school any time I can. I take my kids to local church and donate our gently used clothing and any household items so they can help Single Moms. We also help at Christmas time by donating to the Salvation army

  7. I have my boys go through their toys every so often and they decide on a toy(s) that they are no longer playing with that we can donate.

  8. Our family does a service project every month. Collecting food for food banks, donating clothing, and helping keep our church clean are just a few of the projects we do for our community.
