How to Dress Like Libby from the Star Darlings & a #StarDarlings Giveaway

Star Darlings fans will be thrilled to hear that the adventures continue with more books now on sale.

If you aren’t yet familiar with the Star Darlings, I shared the scoop on the Star Darlings last fall when Disney launched the Star Darlings, a stellar original property for tweens that answers the question of where wishes come from, and features a diverse array of star-charmed girls who encourage and help others to fulfill their heartfelt wishes.

Just like real girls, each Star Darling has her own wish that she pursues with full force and determination—and the help of her friends.My daughter is captivated by the Star Darlings and loves the books.

How to Dress Like Libby from the Star Darlings

As the Star Darlings continue to gain in popularity we thought it would be cool to do a ” get the look” style post sharing inspiration on how to dress like one of the characters from the series. Kenize loves the bookworm Cassie and the very generous Libby. Both girls love shades of pink, also Kenzie’s favorite color. We decided to create a look specific to Libby as we thought adding a pink wig would be really fun since Libby’s hair is pink, but we think the stylish pink threads Kenzie is wearing would work for either Star Darling!

Here’s how we created look for Libby specificially. You can follow these same general guidelines to easily create a look for any of the Star Darlings as long as you swap out the hair color, accessories, and general fashions.

1. Create a Similar Hairstyle and Color

Adding color to hair is really fun! Even if just streaks of color with hair chalk. This is a subtle way to really look like your Star Darling in whatever shade she prefers – from shades of  pink to white to yellow or blue.  If you can find a bold colored wig that works too! We found a Pink wig full of all kinds of crazy hair volume that totally matched Libby. Cute!

2. Add Accessories to Match Your Star Darling’s Power Crystal, Wish Blossom, and Wish Pendant

Kenzie’s layered gold necklace is similar to the constellation of golden star layers that Libby wears around her neck. Next we found a pinkish flower pin to act as Libby’s “Blushbelle” wish blossom which puffs out a soft kiss of stardust whenever a Star Darling comes near. For the power crystal we found a cool pinkish red rock to match Libby’s Charmelite.

3. Stylize Your Outfit to Match Your Favorite Star Darling

Kenzie opted for a whimsical layered pink top and skirt to mimic Libby’s style and fashion sense. We were able to find clothese in Kenzie’s closet that worked for the look since Kenzie also loves the color pink. Normally she wouldn’t wear so much pink all together but it ‘s fun to go “overboard” when creating more of a costumed look.

ASTRA’S MIXED-UP MISSIONS

Life on Starland is anything but normal these days. The Star Darlings continue to experience mysterious phenomena while trying to focus on their studies and maintain their cover.

Stat athlete Astra is chosen for the next Wish Mission. Her overconfident nature leads her to quick conclusions about her Wisher’s true wish. Can Astra put aside her own interests and assumptions and help Emma before time runs out?

TESSA’S LOST & FOUND

As more and more disturbing things happen on Starland, the Star Darlings try to unravel clues to what’s going on. One theory is that Lady Stella herself is behind all the trouble.

Tessa is selected to travel to Wishworld where she finds herself in a spot that’s perfect for her—an animal shelter. When a terrible storm hits, Tessa and her Wisher, Lizzie, must work together to take care of the helpless animals in the shelter, while Tessa tries to discover Lizzie-s real wish and help grant it before time runs out.

Volumes 1 – 3 are now also available in a brand new bind up book that includes the first three books in the Star Darlings series.
