This nonprofit engages maid services throughout the United States and Canada to provide professional house cleanings to women undergoing cancer treatment. The organization’s network of more than 1,000 local maid services “brings meaning to cleaning” by helping women focus their energy on fighting cancer.

Many people don’t know about this free service, so Walmart has teamed up with Swiffer to showcase branded pallets of pink Swiffer products in Walmart stores and signage to promote the Cleaning for a Reason charity and free service. My own Mother in Law is battling stage 4 breast cancer and I think this would be the most amazing help she could have – so she can truly spend all her energy on getting healthy and let someone else worry about everything else.

During the month of October, each patient who has their house cleaned will receive a special Swiffer and Walmart care package. The package includes Olay Regenerist Microsculpting cream, Crest Pro Health Clinical Gum Protection toothpaste, Oral B Pro Health Clinical Pro Flex toothbrush, Swiffer Duster 360, Pantene Beautiful Lengths shampoo and conditioner and Bounty paper towels.

  1. How do I find out if I can benefit from this service? My name is Cyndee O’Hara and I live in Toledo, Ohio. I was diagnosed November 29,2013 with stage 3 Synovial Sarcoma. I lost my lower lobe of my right lung due to a tumor that was the size of a fist. The cancer spread to my chest wall cavity and diaphragm. This is a rare type of cancer to begin with, but the location of mine makes it even more complex. I’d love to raise awareness to this type of cancer as well as other rare forms thay alot of times go unheard of. I have a story to tell and want to help others but I’m not sure where to start. Can anyone help me?I can be reached on Facebook. …Cyndee’s walk to remember, smiles go miles. I started this blog when I was diagnosed. Cyndeeohara72@gmail.com as well. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read this. God bless!!!!
