Bon Voyage! After watching endless YouTube clips featuring both official and unofficial “passenger” footage of Carnival Cruises, to prep the kids for our vacation, departure day is finally here. We depart at 5 PM today from Baltimore for the Eastern Caribbean on the Carnival Pride.
The kids are totally excited about being on the “floating” hotel we’ve told them all about for the last few weeks. We’ve never taken a family cruise before so it will be an adventure for everyone. It’s a 7 day trip and we’ll spend 3 full days at Sea and will visit 3 Ports – Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay (a private island owned by the cruise line) and Freeport in the Bahamas.
I can’t wait to test out this Water Slide on deck.Yes! There is a water slide on the top of the ship! Isn’t that crazy!
We’re looking forward to hopefully catching sunrise & sunset while at sea & we can’t wait for the mini golf on the top of the ship. Although Kenzie is “very very nervous” about playing mini golf. Always the competitor, she fears she’ll never get the ball in the hole as she’s never gone golfing before. Very cute.
Thanks to Carnival Cruise for offering my family this chance to escape & share our adventures on Classy Mommy. I’m super excited for the family time & the chance to unplug. I will blog once a day – assuming no technical difficulties – to share our adventures and pics. Anxious to see how the kids fare and fingers crossed no one gets sea sick. I’m prepped with meds & we’ll wear sea bands just to play it safe.
Up next: Our cabin tour!
Disclosure: Yes, we’re feeling super lucky as Carnival Cruise Lines is paying for our travel expenses. As always, I’ll be sharing the real dish & all thoughts and opinions are our own.
