Lugging stuff to the beach with kids is always a gigantic chore. The biggest problem isn’t always how heavy everything is but that us adults just don’t have enough arms to carry everything. Enter the “backpack” beach chair from the Mainstays brand at Walmart. We were just sent this to review – it is available in blue and red shades and available for purchase in stores only.
As far as sitting in this beach chair it is ULTRA comfortable. It has a built in pillow, reclines beautifully, and a built in cupholder. Kenzie and loved relaxing in this chair on our deck this weekend.
It’s super easy to carry on your back too as it has actual backpack straps so you can literally wear it and have both hands free to carry other items like coolers, a beach bag and hold little tiny hands to cross the street. The only difficultly is that the backpack chair is so sturdy I found it heavy when wearing it on my back compared to carrying my ordinary lightweight beach chair. For stronger Dads, I’m sure they won’t notice the weight but for Mama, carrying any beach chair is always a bit of a chore.

Awesome find! My parents live at the beach, and while we don’t normally take a ton of stuff with us, chairs are always awkward to carry no matter what!
