Looking for time saving cleaning tricks? Robotic cleaners might be your answer with innovations like the O-Duster Robotic Floor cleaner available now at an affordable price – $39.99 at Walmart, they can do the floor dusting for you while you can get other chores done around the house, play in the yard with the kids, or kick back on the couch and catch up on your DVR.
Take a peek at our video demonstration of the O-Duster. It is super simple to use and set up. Literally took 1 second to figure out how to plug it in and charge the battery for 12 hours before the 1st use. Then simply add the cleaning cloth that basically velcro attaches to the robot and push the go button.
The pros are that this is really sleek and can fit under chairs, along edges and in other tight narrow spaces. Plus it has auto-navigation and changes direction when objects are detected as needed.
The cons are you do indeed need to buy replacement cloths obviously. The original kit comes with 3 cloths but you can buy a set of 20 for $7.97 at Walmart.
Here are what my cloths look like – and the one on my O-Duster is a bit dirty from scanning my floor.
As a Mom with a large home that has an open floor plan in a 3400 sq. ft home that is also complete with giant crumbs practically the size of a small meal – that my kids constantly trail around the house, I think using a vacuum or broom probably makes more sense and is more economical. However, if I had a smaller kitchen, this would be genius and a great way to get other chores done while the O-Duster did a daily sweep for me. I think the O-Duster would make an ideal graduation gift for college students or high school students looking to move into their own apartment – especially boys.
Overall, this works excellent and is far better than robotic cleaners I’ve had in the past like the Roomba given the O-Duster is so small and sleek and can get the edges of my walls. I just find for people with large homes that if you need to clean up fast, sometimes a little sweat is the quickest way to a clean home.
