Peter Pan Live! Airs Thursday December 4th at 8 PM – Peter Pan Lesson Plan and Viewing Party Ideas #PeterPanLive

Who loves Peter Pan?  Tomorrow evening, on Thursday, December 4 at 8/7c, NBC is bringing Peter Pan Live! to life with stars Allison WilliamsChristopher WalkenChristian Borle and Minnie Driver. This classic tale is one of the original stories that my children fell in love with when they were toddlers and preschoolers. Today, as school aged kids, they still ADORE the Peter Pan story.

Peter Pan Live! Viewing Party Ideas

We can’t wait to watch this live performance on TV together as a family. NBC and Walmart teamed up to send us a fabulous viewing party kit that includes Peter Pan hats, toy swords, fairy dust, a crocodile puppet,  and of course, Captain Hook style hooks

The kids plan to dress up  while watching the show. Role play never gets old with kids. Kyle even has his own Captain Hook costume that is still a big hit with him – he’s now on his 3rd version of it as he loves dressing up as Hook so much!

We’ll heat up pizza after swim team before we watch the show and enjoy holiday cookies. While watching, we’re hoping to have out construction paper and markers for the kids to get creative with NeverLand as I saw this ideas in the Peter Pan Lesson Guide they sent us and I think both Kenzie and Kyle would really enjoy this activity.

Peter Pan Lesson Plan Guide and Learning Resources

Check out this fabulous and free Peter Pan learning guide that is full of lesson plans for kids.

Download the free printable Peter Pan Live! lesson plan created by NBC to align with Peter Pan Live! It’s a great resource.

At home, spark conversation with your children with all the great questions and ideas in the packet. Get crafty and have your little draw their own version of Neverland or talk about how what the Darling children see in the story is different than a 21st century version of Peter Pan would be if our children took off flying through the sky with Peter Pan.

This learning guide works fantastic with lesson plans to use in the classroom  too- along with common core curriculum alignment and ideas as well.

More Peter Pan Live! Details

During the show, audiences  will see Melissa Joan Hart and her real-life family sharing special family moments as they read the Peter Pan story too. Sounds so cute! I love her and think it’s cool to see a celeb Mom working with Walmart this holiday season.

Remember to tune in on Thursday, December 4 at 8/7c, on NBC to catch Peter Pan Live!

Note: NBC provided my family with a Walmart gift card and party pack to help us celebrate with a Peter Pan viewing party during the live show. As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
