Pop Tarts A La Mode

Pop Tarts A La Mode are the easiest strawberry or blueberry pie you’ll ever make in your own kitchen. It’s always fun to find a new way to enjoy a favorite treat so we figured we’d turn breakfast into dessert.

Simply crush up Pop Tarts, bake for 15-20 minutes are they are a bit soft and gooey and then top with ice cream. Yum! Gives new meaning to the phrase it’s as easy as pie too.

We chose to use these blueberry and strawberry Pop Tarts since we love these flavors but whatever flavor excites you would work just fine.

After we crushed our Pop Tarts, I placed them in an oven safe dish to bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes to soften them and make the insides gooey and warm.

My daughter Kenzie thought this was really fun to eat and it’s easy enough to crush up pop tarts that the kids can easily help in the process.

Pop Tarts A La Mode Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Box Pop Tarts – crush 1 Pop Tart per person depending on how many people you are serving

Ice cream

Fruit or Hot Fudge if you want to add toppings

Directions:

Crush Pop Tarts. Place in an oven safe baking dish. Cook at about 375 for 15-20 minutes until Pop Tart mixture looks like it is softening and getting a bit more gooey. After removing from the oven, scoop out your desired amount of crushed Pop Tarts per person and place in a small serving dish. Top with 1 scoop of ice cream and any other fun festive tasty treats. Enjoy!

We bought our Pop Tarts and Ice cream at our local Walmart. Such a quick and easy recipe to make a dessert that was an extra special treat for all of us!
