We are obsessed!!!!! This vehicle is literally the manifestation of a little boys dream come true. Kyle is riding non stop on his new Fisher Price Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX in the backyard and is absolutely WILD about it. I don’t blame him! This thing is SOOOOO much fun. Take a peek at our Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX Video Review to see this awesome ride on vehicle in action.
Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX Speed Limits & Charging
As for the stats, which I’ll go into during our video review, there are 2 speeds available – 3 mph via the pedal or 6 mph using the “Turbo” mode which is adding additional speed by twisting the grip throttle when you are driving. The higher speed is an optional set up that parents can engage or not depending on the age of their children and their driving ability. We’ve got it set up to go up to 6 mph and my kids LOVE Turbo mode.
This 6 mph option an easy internal set up for parents to make with one extra connection but if your children are younger and you aren’t comfortable with it, just use the 3 mph option with this high speed lock out option.
The vehicle also drives in reverse and my 6 year old has mastered driving in reverse as well!
Charging and powering up the Power Wheels Kawasaki is super easy as it comes complete with a 12 Volt battery that you literally plug into your electrical outlet to charge. We charge it overnight and it lasts the next day for the kids to enjoy for hours. Awesome!
It works drive over ruts, wet grass, gravel, mud and rough terrain – along with the long grass in our backyard – just perfectly.
Kyle begged for PowerWheels for Christmas last year, but we never took the plunge feeling it was excess. Despite my initial hesitation to allow the kids to own PowerWheels, I admit I now see the merits as this ride on toy ROCKS! When this surprise review item arrived in the mail, I obviously let Kyle and big sister Kenzie dive into the package so we could test it out – and it has totally surpassed everyone’s expectations. It is just so much fun to play with and ride around in our large open backyard.
My kids have always pined after Power Wheels since when they were in preschool a good friend had the ride on Jeep style Power Wheels. Owning it now, I see the appeal and I can justify the expense given the amount of joy and fun it is bringing the family – and all the kids in our neighborhood!

Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX Pricing
This Kawasaki comes with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles color ways and stickers to theme it out to the popular TV show and PG 13 movie for older kids that was just released this month. Approximate retail pricing is $249, but I’ve seen it on sale at Walmart for $198-$229 so definitely look for sales at Toys R Us, Amazon, Walmart, Target etc to try to snag the best price to make this the hottest holiday gift EVER for your little boy.
Classy Mommy Approved.
