Today, we donated 104 Zhu Zhu Pets as my kids and I joined forces with the Zhu Zhu Pets to do “Random Acts of Zhu” and give toys to children in need.
Here we are loading up the car to drop off all the cute fuzzy pets – along with King Zhu pets complete with Armor. (Kenzie is now desperate for a set of her own Armor from Santa for Christmas! Mom put in a good word for her and he will deliver!)
We donated all our goodies to PACS, which stands for Phoenixville Area Community Services. We work with PACS regularly to give back thanks to the generous sponsors of ClassyMommy. PACS is an amazing organization in our town that provides crucial support to children and families in Phoenixville.
One of the highlights of writing this blog is the opportunities we are given to experience amazing events, meet interesting people, and to participate in charity ventures like this one. There is no better way to teach your kids about giving back then to get them physically involved in the act – from seeing all the toys we would give to kids in need, to carrying all the boxes, to walking inside PACS and exploring the Food Pantry and seeing all the necessities stocked there for those who don’t have enough money to make ends meet on a regular basis.
Thanks again to the Zhu Zhu Pets for making this donation to my own community possible.
