Role Playing, Cleaning, and the smell of Pledge

Cleaning at my house is actually pretty fun. And sometimes the kids even beg for us to clean as Kenzie and Kyle love help me  – given I let them role play either of the following scenarios:

1. They pretend to be Cinderella and I am their evil stepmother or step sister asking them to dust more

or

2. They ask me to crank up the soundtrack to Annie’s “It’s a Hard Knock’s Life” and they go crazy cleaning so Ms.Hannigan doesn’t yell at them.

Usually they get a wet sponge and work on the dirty spots all over the kitchen or I let them help with the dusting. I’ll either give them a rag or on this past weekend let them use a paper towel to help wipe down my Pledge. And oh, how we love the smell of Pledge. Besides it helping us capture all that dirt in the mysterious Pledge solution as we’re dusting furniture or even those dirty baseboards, I just can never get enough of that fresh lemon scent. It just reminds me of clean. Even if I clean only 1 wood table in my house, the whole downstairs fills with that “clean house” aroma. Great way to fool the guests that you went all our before their arrival too!

I’m not one for huge chemical or perfume smells but the fruits and citrus scents work for me – so I the Lemon Clean scent of Pledge is perfect. We got this sample to review last week in the  mail, but I’ve been an avid Pledge user since my 1st apartment out of college. And looks like I’m turning out a few little cleaners too. We use the Pledge on my leather coffee table, wood furniture and even our kitchen counters. Yep, you can even use it on leather (and even vinyl too! )

Since this is a sponsored post, and in case you’re not a Pledgie like me, here’s the scoop on what surfaces you can officially use it on per S.C. Johnson:.

The Pledge® aerosol (Natural Beauty, Clean & Shine, Dust & Allergen, Protection Plus and Extra Moisturizing) family of formulas can be used to dust, clean, shine and give limited protection to the following surfaces: sealed wood and wood laminates, synthetic wood surfaces (IKEA), stainless steel, leather, sealed marble, sealed granite, vinyl and chrome.  This would include car dashboards (vinyl) and car seats (leather or vinyl).

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post from One2One Network so I could share my Pledge experience with readers. All thoughts and opinions including my love the lemon scent are my own.
