Now that snow days are becoming routine, we’re getting more creative in the kitchen. We love popcorn in the winter and my kids love caramel corn, so we thought we could add our own chocolate caramel twist to our favorite salty snack.
You know I’m ALL about CONVENIENCE in my recipes as I don’t want to do anything complicated. With the help of my kids, a few bags of microwaveable popcorn, and Snickers bars, in less than 10 minutes we created this scrumptious rendition of Snickers Popcorn.
Snickers Popcorn Recipe
This is a simple recipe literally using only microwaveable popcorn and snickers bars – which provide your caramel and chocolate goodness. You can pick up the Snickers and Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn at your local Walmart. Just prep, cook, and devour! This is so easy to make the kids will be able to help as well.
Ingredients:
Dozen Fun Size Snickers Bars – chopped
2 Bags of Microwaveable Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn (We used the Pop-up Bowl – any kind works!)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Microwave 2 bags of popcorn. Coarsely chop your Snickers. Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Empty popcorn into your baking pan then stir in chopped snickers. Heat in the oven for 3-5 minutes until Snickers appear to be softened and somewhat melted
You don’t need a full melt for your Snickers, but you do want them somewhat melted and very soft so you can stir it all up to spread that snickers deliciousness throughout your batch of popcorn!
As you can see my kids LOVED the Snickers Popcorn and so did Mom.
Let cool for 15-30 minutes so your kids don’t make a total mess touching melted gooey chocolate while eating popcorn! We learned that lesson the hard way for the first few bites as my kids could not RESIST tasting the Sncikers Popcorn.
Store in a sealed container. Serve in fun movie theater style popcorn containers. Enjoy!

Walmart doesn’t care about all mothers. They finance animal cruelty toward mother pigs by buying from places that use cruel gestation crates. The poor animals are unable to move for their entire lives. Learn more here: http://www.WalmartCruelty.com
If Walmart cared at all about well-bring and motherhood, they would STOP support farms that use gestation crates and that treat mother pigs like garbage! Gestation crates are incredibly cruel and the pigs in them cannot even stand up or turn around! http://www.WalmartCruelty.com
