Strawberry Shortcake is back in town this season in a big way! To go along with the cute new DVD that came out in September, they’ve got an adorable line of toys. My 4 yr old is keen on this 12 inch high chunky plastic doll that comes with a glorious head of red hair, a brush, hair clips, and a magic pen which when filled with ice water will enable little girls to give Strawberry a makeover as it reveals eye shadow, bright lipstick and a strawberry facial tattoo. Kenzie loves brushing the dolls hair and we style it all the time. However, the hair clips and hair extensions that come with the doll were difficult for us to manipulate and fasten, so we just use our own barrettes and ponytail holders. The magic make up pen works perfectly. Just fill with water, stick it in the freezer, and then when you take it out, the icy water will melt easily on the doll’s face to reveal her makeover. I love how this Strawberry Shortcake doll provides preschoolers with a makeover activity without the mess of real eye shadow and lip gloss! Classy Mommy Approved! For more information, click here. Price: $20
