The best way to teach our children is through action.
The right to vote is not something we can take for granted and it’s so important to impress that upon our children.
Truly a privilege that is not to be ignored.
The kids were thrilled to join me as I cast my ballot. Kyle and especially Kenzie were fascinated to watch as I exercised my right to vote. I took them into the little privacy “table”, showed them the paper ballot, and then we watched my vote get scanned into the voting machine to be sure it was “counted.”
And in our case it’s certainly a sweet bonus for the kids that I got to vote at the Fire House which includes totally going behind the scenes and literally voting next to the swanky engines and the Firemen’s gear & boots.
