Trip to Hollywood for Gnomeo and Juliet World Premiere

Here’s a special report from our Entertainment & Lifestyle writer, Bonnie:

When I think of Disney, the one word that comes to mind is “magical,” so maybe I shouldn’t have been so surprised that this past weekend was full excitement and life-long memories…thanks to Disney.

I flew out on Friday to preview the new Touchstone Pictures 3D animated movie Gnomeo and Juliet, which is about the most opposite concepts: Shakespeare and lawn gnomes. So unexpected that it’s irresistible. I’ll give the inside scoop of the movie during the February 11th release week, so stay tuned! In the meantime, enjoy a picture peek into the weekend.

After checking into my hotel on Friday afternoon, I couldn’t help but do some exploring of my own on Hollywood Blvd. Good thing I did. I caught some sights that I don’t usually get to see in Pennsylvania! It’s not every day that you see Paris Hilton and friends ordering burgers while taping her new reality show “The World According to Paris.” (Side note: Her twin in pink in the back actually works on the burger truck. I couldn’t tell one from the other at first!)

In the afternoon, we headed to the Walt Disney Studios Lot for a special tour of the facilities and sound stages.

One of the coolest events on the agenda was the red carpet premiere! I’m not going to spoil details on the event in this blog. Stay tuned for details.

Just me and some friends hanging out at the premiere after-party…

We capped off this magical weekend with dinner at the historic Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd where you can catch many celebs hanging out. It was a weekend worth remembering!

Disclosure: Thanks to Disney for the invite to this movie premiere and for covering our travel expenses. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. What a great article! I have no clue how you came up with this text..it’d take me days. Well worth it though, I’d assume. Have you considered selling ads on your blog?
