Wow! This new 50’s-60’s style resort at Universal Orlando looks fabulous and is set to open March 31st, 2014 with moderately priced family suites. I love the look of the retro vibe at Cabana Bay Beach Resort. When complete, it will have 2 pool complexes with sand beaches a themed lazy river, and a 10-lane bowling alley.
We’ve never stayed at a Universal Orlando resort hotel, but I hear they are excellent from all my friends and the research I’ve done. This value option will be great for families as you can also walk directly to the theme parks and Universal City Walk from the Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
Check out this sample photo of a room. Feel the retro vibe? Very cool.
Family suite rates will begin at $174 per-night; standard room rates will begin at $119 per-night. You can already reserve for stays starting March 31, 2014.
Staying at Universal Orlando is always an ideal option when you plan to play in the parks too since your tickets then include the “fast pass” privilege. I can’t wait to check out this new resort at Universal Orlando next year and all the other new attractions they have slated to open soon plus those new additions that hit in 2012 that we haven’t yet experienced like the new Despicable Me attraction and upgraded Spiderman ride.
My kids are OBSESSED with Harry Potter so we are all wild about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and are dying to visit again. You can see some of our recaps about our visit to Wizarding World here.
