We adore this new doll for the year 2012 from American Girl – she’s a gymnast from Seattle, WA and her name is McKenna Brooks.
Take a peek at her up close in our video and photo. We’ve received lots of questions about her hair color, hair part, and eye color – some 91 comments already on this video – Wow! It’s neat to see everyone super excited about McKenna.
Her eye’s are 100% blue, her hair is a darker shade of blonde, and she has straight hair. She does not have a part in my opinion – however, the very top center of her hair is designed to be in a small pony tail to place at the top of her head as shown in our video & photos.
You can buy her here on the American Girl website now for $105 (this includes the outfit shown above and the 1st book). I’ve seen the books for sale already as well at Barnes & Noble and in store at Target as of a few days ago.
Rumors suggest a movie will be created for McKenna. I’ve not received confirmation about this from the author Mary Casanova or corporate American Girl yet – but I”ll be sure to share my interview with the author soon and whatever information I can find out.
